Learn Spanish games and my experience with gaming environment | Good and bad information in regards to different ways you can learn Spanish
I really want to learn Spanish. Couple of days ago I decided to find a working solution online. It appeared to me that one of the best ways to learn it would be to play some learn Spanish games or may be to buy an interactive guide. For some reason it always appeared to me as being one of the easiest ways to learn a new language. Let's examine the bare facts. What could be easier than playing a game? And if at the same time you're able to learn a language then it's even better I tried other methods of learning Spanish, for example I consulted a portal once http://learnspanishgames.wordpress.com/2008/12/02/learn-spanish-games/ which talked about these things. Too bad these methods weren't interactive and fun, I knew that because they did not keep me hooked, they always became very monotonous very quickly. If it wasn't for that, they would probably work. I decided that it was time to try something new, something which guaranteed some kind of a quality, I decided to purchase a game on Ebay instead. I decided to take this route after watching a documentary on discovery channel. This television program was based on a set of interviews with professionals in the education environment, who discussed good and bad ways of learning and remembering. And often the best method was the one that engaged the person in some kind of a fun activity. What could be better than that? As an example, you would need to memorize 10 unrelated things, you would make up an amazing story in your head with these objects and play back the story when you needed to remember them. I really want to learn Spanish, but I don't want to bore myself to death in the process. The game was like a walking adventure. It would bring you through different kinds of locations. Every location was accompanied with a description. There was a talking avatar that would give English Spanish translation of objects. The surrounding were well drawn and incited interest in me. As I progressed through these worlds I would remember more and more things. They made it fun to walk around. Old locations and things would resurface so I would play the back in my mind. The further you went the more you understood that you learned a great deal. It was also very encouraging. The character made sure to congratulate you if you remembered something right. At times it would punish you. You would also be reprimanded if you named the wrong thing. You knew right away that you did not remember the right thing, it was very obvious on the characters face. I became a better Spanish speaker all thanks to this game, I gave it 2 thumbs up!
